Since the relevant tech support forums don't seem to exist, I'll ask here.
Why can't Infix open files that have a filename of more than 63 (or maybe it's 64?) characters? I work with large number of pdfs for my job, and the filenames tend to be long for archiving purposes. If I try to open a file that has a long filename, it comes up just fine in the file selection window, but when I double click on the file to open it, Infix pops up an error window stating:
"name of file I tried to open"
File not found
Please verify the correct filename was given
If I rename the file, I can open it, but this is not a reasonable compromise for everyday use.
Is this an intentional crippling function? Do I need a fully licensed/activated/whatever copy (or the professional version) to support long filenames? Frankly there are a large number of other issues with this software that make me reluctant to jump into using it regularly, but this problem would be a deabreaker for sure.
Thanks for any info.
SLAM!
