System fonts versus embedded fonts

Postby guybushnell on Wed Feb 27, 2008 11:47 am

I tried and like Infix.
Amazing cut and paste or add text in exact font that is already part of the pdf.

But for a font that is not yet on my computer or is only partially “embedded” / within the document,
Could I purchase the True Type font, say the Optima font for example, and just add it to my Fonts folder, and Infix would recognize it?
And I could add text to existing text with this Optima font??

Hello.
Infix would automatically detect Optima (or any other TrueType font) installed on your system and then use it whenever a required character was not already available in the PDF.

You would then have no problems editing any document that used Optima even if not fully embedded.
